Well, the reality is much less romantic than that. Actually there are no sketchbooks. I travel just with my camera and take pictures of what I like; then at home with Illustrator, Photoshop and other software I draw after the photos.
But if you wanna know the real trick to be discovered is that traveling is much more easier than what you may think. Often people tell me things like: “You must have a lot of money for traveling as much as you do”. The answer is no. Everyone with a normal job can travel the world if he wants to. You have to adapt of course and maybe you’ll often get dirty and tired but the places you’ll see and the people you’ll meet will repay you of everything (keep in mind that if you live in a western country most of the world will be much cheaper that your own home).
Sometimes the time can be a little be harder to find but if you care about traveling as much as I do you’ll simply find a way, leave everything back and just go away.
